Teaching Practice - Phase 2 - Week 3

           Teaching Practice - Week 3  (19 - 23 November 2018)

'If a child can't learn the way we teach, may be we should teach the way they learn' -struck my mind, found it valuable to make my mind as a teacher.  On Monday, the exercise on 'A new number ' was solved in Std IX A. The introduction was a quiz on the  diameter and perimeter of a circle and the value of pi .
On Wednesday, had fifth period in Std IX A where I began with the concept of 'Areas' in Circle measures. It was an ICT based class , showed two videos on the concept. Observed Haritha teacher's class on sulphuric acid; overall reflection was very good. Helan teacher's class on Ray diagram was also observed.
On Thursday, even though students were busy with their IT practicals, classes went on well.Continued with the exercise on 'A new number'.
On Friday, I dealt with the last part of Area - Exercises. It was found that ICT classes attract students more. Classes were taken in IX B and IX I due to the absence of Jothi teacher because of her personal needs.
Saturday was a working day with Tuesday's time table ( compensation for Nabidinam holiday ). It was the inauguration of Traffic Club in our school by Mr. Johnkutty, Traffic DYSP. SPC students were incharge for the function. Inquiry training model was used to introduce the concept 'Length and Angles'. Pupil involvement was excellent.
